The general methodology for tank fabrication using hydraulic tank jacking equipment offered by us includes:

1. Tank foundation is completed
2. After checking foundation, tank centre point & tank coordinates are marked
3. Annular plates & tank bottom/base plates erection, welding & vacuum box testing completed as per code
4. Tank shell ring location marked on tank base plates
5. Temporary structural members (elevators) erected at every 3000mm on tank ring marking
6. Shell plates are erected/placed on these structural members
7. Erection & welding of topmost 2 shell course plates completed
8. For fixed roof (cone/dome) tanks, curb angle, roof structures & roof plates, erection/welding
9. Completed
10. Required no. of hydraulic jacking units assembled, erected & aligned inside the tank
11. Special cleats (lifting and guide) fabricated earlier as per details given
12. These are welded to the lowest tank shell
13. Hydraulic jacking units connected to shell cleats & hydraulic power pack connected with jacks through hydraulic hoses
14. On operating hydraulic power pack, hydraulic oil starts circulating through hoses to all
15. Jacking units
16. With increasing oil pressure, all jacks start climbing/ lifting together to complete 1 operation of @ 100mm lift
17. On completion of 1 cycle all jacks stay at lifted position on jack rod due to special grip mechanism in jacking units
18. Pressure is released from hydraulic power pack
19. Operation is repeated till height of erection for placement of next shell is achieved
20. Next shell plate erection & vertical seam welding is completed
21. Lifted shell plates are lowered by jacking units to align with new shell plate & welding is completed
22. Jacking units are lowered
23. Cleats are removed & welded to next shell plates
24. Operation from sr. no. 6 to12 repeated & tank erection is completed
25. Erection of spiral staircase, wind girder & other structural supports as well as radiography & cleaning of shell completed simultaneously as erection of shell is in progress
